Natural Beauty: Face Masks
One of my beauty related struggles is pretty common for most girls… getting clear skin! I can say that mine has improved a lot over the past few years and that’s because I finally started to realize what was causing it. My diet was one of the problems, but so were the products I was using on my face. I wouldn’t invest a lot in skin care and I just settled for drug store brands. Drug store brands do work for some people but my skin didn’t react too well and I didn’t realize that it was the root of the problem until I switched to natural skin care products.
Making the switch to natural products was one of the best decisions I’ve made! My whole skin care routine mainly consists of Lush Cosmetics and these face masks are my absolute favorites.
I use the Cup O’Coffee mask whenever my skin needs a little exfoliating and cleansing after wearing makeup all day. The ground coffee beans gently exfoliate your skin and remove any excess dirt to give your skin a natural glow. The BB Seaweed mask is so soothing and leaves your face feeling smoother than ever. For me, this mask has really helped my acne scars slowly fade away so I use this mask a lot more often than any other. I use the Brazened Honey mask whenever my skin is feeling dull and dry. I actually just recently bought this and it really improved my overall skin tone and texture. It consists of ginger, fennel, cardamom and turmeric, which are all amazing ingredients for your skin.
I started using Lush products a year ago and I still swear by this brand! All of these masks leave my skin feeling super fresh and clean without putting any chemicals on my face. My skin felt cleaner and smoother almost instantly.
My skin still isn’t perfect or to where I want it to be, but it definitely isn’t as bad as it used to be. I am still on the hunt for something to get me even better results. It’s all about experimenting – but since my skin is really sensitive, I tend to stay away from trying too many different products unless I’ve heard really good reviews about them.
Natural products are not as scary to try so I’m always open to trying new masks. I tried this Green Minerals mask that is 100% natural, no chemicals added and cruelty free. It’s great for sensitive skin and personally has lightened my dark scars, tightened up my pores and left my skin feeling so refreshed. I like to mix it up with rose water to help maintain my skin’s pH balance and help with reducing the appearance of my scars. I also use rose water as a toner (it does wonders). With your first purchase receive a free face mask set (silicone bowl, mini spatula, measuring spoons face brush) & a 100% cotton headband!
What are your favorite natural masks? Let me know in the comments below- I would love to try out something new and I hope you try these products for yourself too because you won’t regret it!! 🙂
